Ty Hafan Children's Hospice

The St David's Society recently made a donation to the Ty Hafan Children's Hospice in Wales with monies raised at our summer Beach Party.

Thanks to all members and their guests who helped us support this excellent charity.

Ty Hafan, the Children's Hospice in Wales, is a very special place.

Its located in its own grounds on the banks of the Channel at Sully, close to Barry to the west of Cardiff.

It was purpose built and opened in January 1999 to provide help and support for the 300 plus families, living within Wales, where one or more of the children suffer from a life-limiting illness.

The Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi

The St. David's Society has supported the Corniche hospital in Abu Dhabi for many years. As thanks to the Society, the hospital has painted their Children's Ward to look like Wales! Have a look! I am sure you will agree that it looks FANTASTIC and a great credit to the Society.

Marie Curie

Marie Curie
Cancer is the UK's biggest killer. Every year it claims the lives of more than 150,000 people, with a further one million living with the disease at any one time.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is working tirelessly for you and your loved-ones by challenging the disease through its work in cancer care and research.

Every year the charity provides care to around 25,000 cancer patients and their families - entirely free of charge.

In the community, high-quality Marie Curie Nursing gives terminally ill people the choice of dying at home, supported by their families.

At their 10 Marie Curie Hospices, they actively promote quality of life for patients and again provide much needed support for their carers.

The charity is also investigating the causes of cancer and better ways to treat the disease at the Marie Curie Research Institute.
